Health Insurance - F.A.Q.

Medical Insurance

All non-immigrant international students enrolled at the university are required to be insured. The insurance premium is included in the tuition fees. Insurance is covered quarter by quarter. Students not enrolled for a quarter are not covered in any insurance plan. Should a student decide to buy just the insurance for the quarter he or she is not enrolled in, he/she can purchase the accident and sickness insurance by contacting the Office of International Affairs.

Louisiana Tech University offers a new insurance plan for all international students and scholars starting the Fall 2020 quarter. You may pick up a how-to guide and snapshot of our new insurance from the ISO or by following the link below. All F-1 students and J-1 scholars are required to buy insurance from Relation Education Solution through Louisiana Tech University. The insurance cost of $357.00 will be included in your tuition and fees each quarter. You can find the coverage plan materials and instruction videos here.
