I am an international Chemical Engineering MS student at Louisiana Tech, passionate about the conversion of bio-waste into products. Louisiana Tech's community, facilities, and technology have been excellent, and the diverse student body makes the International Student Organization (ISO) feel like home. The university provides ample resources and opportunities for student growth and career readiness.

The robust academics, the welcoming community, and the beautiful setting of Ruston spurred my interest in Tech. After coming to Tech I can confidently say that it has excelled my expectations. Amongst several great aspects of the university, the one thing that I would like to highlight is the opportunity to get involved outside classrooms. Tech has over a 100 clubs, societies and organizations. Personally, joining these organizations was the best decision I made, and it helped me meet new people, and pushed me to become the best version of myself.

My name is Léance Kambamba Kiningu. I am from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I am a mechanical engineering student. I am a student ambassador and an admissions assistant at the office of international affairs. My experience at Louisiana tech has been far better than I imagined. I have made a lot of good friends and found a community. My favorite thing at Tech is that one is not just a number, but every single person is part of the group. I will do my best to assist any student who needs guidance regarding admission or life in the city of Ruston.
